batteries
Yes, i know they're energy cells, and they're being considered as reactors with limited storage, but how about for bigger ships, we change this?
You (the devs) can make multiple slots for fuel cells right? how about instead of getting dual FC's for double charge, maybe you can have 1 FC and an actual battery, which can hold 4 to 8 times more energy, but no recharge capability? With jumps being a set energy amount, this could be a HUGE advantage for long distance traveling freighters. Also, it could be advantageous for defenders. Being able to constantly provide cover fire is the main draw for the large battery, but it's not enough. It will also greatly diversify the battlefield, making defenders more defensive and interceptors more...interceptive?

I could have sworn this was said somewhere else a good few times, but everyone seems to be having the same idea. Which says something.
Jumps are a percentage, not a fixed number as it is.
So what your concluding is that large ships like carriers would be able to travel farther than small ships like fighters. Is this correct?
