can we have medals that are player-controlled? or even tags from nations/factions aside from the "progress bar" ones

I suggest that there be a variety of votable medals:

Best Overall Fighter with Warthog MkII(<----any ship here)

"Extraordinary Skill - Rockets(<----any weapon here)

"Scariest Pirate" Medal

"Escape Artist Trader" Medal

I'm sure you can think of a billion of them, but they DO NOT NEED images, if it's an issue. Takes long enough for the devs to work on stuff, I'd rather see them without images, than not at all...

I'd say, anyone can vote on anything three times a day. If they vote for the same medal for the same person (within a month or so) it will not count, and will tell you to vote for someone else.

The medals wouldn't really be medals with just one vote. You would need a minimum number of votes for that specific medal, to achieve a medal. After you earn one, the counter will start counting up votes again for the next medal. Your medal collection should also show how many of the same medals you earned.

I'd also like to see various items become available once certain appropriate medals are earned. Like for the "Best Overall Fighter - Warthog MkII" I'd like to see some kind of upgrade that can only be equipped to a Warthog MkII.

Nah... /vote mute is quite enough. The playerbase can't even really cope with that, so let's keep it simple.

I think POS deserves a medal, not KOS though.

I like it. Though the devs prolly would know how to fix it up...like make it a special event? Like, after a nation war, everyone votes for the best wingman, or such.

Yea I guess there should be medals for winning tournaments as well. I was thinking more along the lines of voting for general everyday things Vendetta involves, and accumulating votes to get a medal on such things.

The point is that it would be fun, and give everyone something to strive for in whatever they do, since the medals will cover pretty much everything.
