Of all the subjects that pop up in this forum time and again, the one about other payment options (from time-share to minutes to ZOMG gimme it FREE!) is one of the most frequent, so my suggestion is this:

Make a sticky explaining why these plans wouldn't work at this time; you know, the whole shebang: the game's completion, Guild's condition, for how long do those ten bucks go, etc. Maybe even discuss why each particular plan is a bad idea, if it has merit (I think at least the Free model needs to be pointed out as a very bad idea).

Now, with this sticky in place, those people who actually bother to read beforehand (or who use the search function) will see it/find it and they don't put up one more of these frankly annoying threads.

And for those that like to post first and read never, we simply link to the sticky and lock their thread; no muss, no fuss, no another round of lenghty, rehashed explanations about why these ideas are no good for the game at the moment.

And if that works, we add another explaining why advertising at the time is not really wanted, either; or we could include that in the same sticky.

I was going to add something to the billing FAQ about that. Which would be linkable from the boards or whatever. I've been getting a bunch of emails about it lately.
