motion simulator support
Thinking crazy- it would be cool if Vendetta supported full motion or "simulated" motion systems like some "Earth based" flight simulators and car racing simulators. For feeling your ship actually being hit, and being able to feel from which direction you're being hit- or feel being knocked into a certain direction from impact.
What would be required from the developers really is just detailed information on the heading, speed, and other specs of your ship- probably things that are already being used internally and would just need to be available "externally".
Examples of motion or pseudo motion systems include:
http://www.ivibe.com (mere mortals can afford)
http://www.ultraforcesim.com (for the rich)
http://www.force-dynamics.com (for the super-rich with a forklift handy)
Motion cues might actually improve gameplay by allowing you to "feel" in a sense which direction you're moving instead of just relying on the "space junk".
If all this is too out there, how about just joystick force feedback? ;)

Was just about to say...
"We're still waiting for ForceFeedback support!"
"We're still waiting for ForceFeedback support!"
Hehe true... But again these are really not things the devs have to do much work to support- the programmers for the motion sims actually support the game. All the game developers have to do is just allow external access to information about what your local ship, car, plane, whatever is doing... And the motion device guys take that info and convert it to whatever "outside" of the actual game.
I wonder if anyone clicked on the Force Dyamics Link? They have videos of their chair working! If money was no object (like if I win the lottery tomorrow) I'd be so into buying one of these chairs! Just think of a pvp session in one of these things?

Yeah those are some crazy videos! I think it costs in the tens of thousands of dollars, and i was serious about the "forklift" thing :) However thanks to our brains, even things that simulate motion and give motion "cues" trick you into feeling a lot of the same sensations even without actually throwing your entire body around... I'm not sure if any space simulator supports anything like this- Flight Simulator X does- i'm curious to see how it would work in a space sim like Vendetta with "semi-realistic" physics...
