A very low priority message board enhancement request.

I'd love to have a marker (an icon, different color text, whatever) for those threads that have new posts since my last visit. Most FOSS forum systems (phpBB, iBB, etc.) have them, so the coding ideas could be borrowed there.

what about the threads closest to the top? those are supposed to be the most recent additions to the forum.

plus it's a pain in the ass to have to click, "mark all as read" every time you visit.

Yes, the closest to the top have the latest post. But isn't always said that that post is a new one.

The flag would clear automatically every time I visit a forum. No need to read or to mark as such the single posts.
