what is it?

Sort of like MSN but for gamers. But most people who use it actually use it to just record how much they play games. It records how much u play a game, but only games that are supported.

What are the advantages of getting Xfire to support VO?

Don't see much added value from this. VO already has most of the features Xfire provides, and has no need for the rest. Xfire also seems to be Windows only, which cuts a sizeable chunk of the Vendetta player base out as well.

XFire features vs VO Features
Server Browser: No need, there is only one.
Friend List: Active Players page, in-game buddy list, the IRC channel, or any of the Widgets etc that check Active Players.
IM: In-game and IRC
Voice Chat: Teamspeak, Skype, Ventrillo all work fine and are cross-platform
Game Stats: Check the Your Stats and Account Info pages.

The advantage is to have VO profiled and listed on a major gaming hub and in every Xfire-and-VO-persons signature on all the gaming boards they visit.
