Make Aliens in unexplored space, for us to discover and make diplomatic relations with. Providing we can talk to them

I get the feeling that a lot of us don't want this to turn into Star Trek.

That also includes arbitrary addition of omg-kill-you-all aliens like Species 8472.

(Really. We have enough to go on already with regards to the backstory and the Itan-Serco conflict. If we run out of that, then I guess it might be considered.)

If you've read the Backstory, you know that the Serco - Itani conflict (a vendetta - get iiiiiit?) is the main event. Before alien races are introduced (which eventually would be good) it would be nice if we could properly vanquish our sworn enemies.
