On the Subject of Defense Turrets
I have noticed that in several sectors that the defense turrets have been "shuttled around" to places where they are useless. I find flag turrets in docking bays, and defense turrets behind asteroids.
Could the devs give turrets much more mass, like stations?

...or have them return to their optimal positions after they have been inactive for a short time?
I say they all make a sphere around the flag

NO!!! I like moving them around. It takes some effort to move 'em around, 'cause they're heavy and stuff. The way I see it, it actually adds to the strategy of gameplay. Please please please let players move 'em around.

Hehe... We are the space robots, we are here to protect you... :P Maybe if the bots moved at a speed of 1 m/s back to their normal spot. That way you couldn't move them and have them sit there for hours, but you could keep them nice and organized by actively doing it...
They aren't very effective in their original positions... I'm not sure why anyone would bother moving them into worse ones, and I think it was cool when SF and others moved them all right into the flag.
that must have appeared scary... the flag fighting BACK lol
I once saw the two flag turrets in sector 2 shooting at each other. Why?
Hehe, i like moveing the bots into the flag, move 2 into flag, move the rest near the wormhole.
hey! I saw turrets shooting each other in 1! only it was the two flag turretes, plus a station defence thingy. It was strange...
So I'm not insane. W00h00!!!! :P
Heh. That's funny, since they can't damage one another. I can't imagine why they would acquire other turrets as targets. But I've seen it too. Blah, I need to totally rewrite the bot code.
Really, its lovely and amusing to have the turrets knocked -into- an asteroid. as in inside the "shell" of the hollow ones... They do so much damage there.. * ehumm* and are very very useful *nods sagely*
Hehe... I stuck all of the s2 bots inside the roid with the hole in it... :P
See, this is the problem. You have a player log onto the other nation, and bus-ram the turrets into a useless place (inside a hollow roid or behind one), and then signal for the cap team to come in. That's just - so wrong! :)
