New Radar Function
Has there been any discussion about adding a few new functions to the radar?
One function I would find useful is a "Target Nearest Enemy Player" and a "Target Nearest Friendly Player" - for example, when I'm in s6 and a team decides to jump in, I'd like to quickly target the nearest enemy player. Sure, a few 75 bots may be closer to my ship, but I don't care about them. Or maybe make bots a different color on radar so I can distinguish between bots and players...
Another function that might be useful would be a "Target Nearest Cargo."
And one more thing...why can't we target Missiles/Rockets? I would think it would be great to be able to target someone's Avalon and be able to shoot it down with a faster missile. If I hit it with an energy weapon maybe it could knock it off in a different direction...lol

target nearest enemy player :
by default on x
cheers
for cargo, press the g "I thought"
But I had them both remapped to my mouse, with rolling up nearest enemy, roll down enemy in front of me.
Use this at the same time with the I button "zoom" and you can lock in on the cargo more efefectively

renegade: 'x' targets nearest hostile, whether player or NPC. One question I have is how relevant 'target nearest hostile PC' is going to be in the long run. I mean, I don't think '75' bots per se are going to be a big part of the final game, and there is also a suspension of belief issue involved in distinguishing greatly between PC's and NPC's. At present the bots are stupid, poorly armed, and with the exception of the 350 bots don't work as a team. I don't expect that to remain true, and eventually the average bot may be as dangerous as the average player the way that in most fantasy RPG's 'town guards' tend to be a pretty powerful monster.
