Smuggle yourself (a.k.a. Hitchhiking)
Never mind the specifics, this seems an all too common story among newbs: being trapped at your home station and unable to leave the sector due to getting PK'ed.
What if there were a mission/option to ride along with a convoy in one of those Behemoth heavies? Provided you were smart and stayed in the cargo hold without showing your head in one of the turrets, chances are you would be able to make it safely out of the sector without being seen. Seems like a reasonable alternative for noobs that find themselves cornered.

Sector list. But it'd be a lot easier then trying to fly on a Free Battery out of there. Good idea.
(Thanks for linking to that thread, otherwise I would never have seen it).
I've always wanted some way to "travel" in the universe, other than flying your own ship. Booking passage on a Constellation or something would be pretty neat. It's also an interesting way of solving the whole "chased into a corner" kind of scenario. I'll think about it.

ooh ooh, can we walk around on them then??

One concern as of now--if we're booking passage on a Connie, then how will we get to the station?
I think it'd be kinda cool if, when we got to the destination sector and were riding aboard a large ship (one with a hangar), we were given a modified (maybe no battery, so no jumps?) EC-89 on a temporary basis. It'd disappear/get flown back to the ship by an NPC when we got aboard the station.
This even brings up a possibility of transferring to another ship at the destination... Say you're a UIT, and you hop onto a Connie in Azek, then once you hit Latos, you fly your bus over to a waiting Serco Trident, where you wait a few minutes as a cargo transfer takes place. You then ride that to the Deneb/Geira border, hop off in Geira and grab a bus, then take it to Deneb, where you get on a HAC and ride the rest of the way to Itan.
Yes, it might be slower, but it'd be great for a leisurely flight, and you'd certainly have a lot more defensive power at your hands.
EDIT: Hell, imagine what the Lecter trial would have been like if [itan] or [IA] or w/e had been able to shove him into an anonymous Moth and smuggle him away.

Well, we're going to have to work out a system for transferring items from big cap ships anyway. The coolest solution would be little freight-carrying ships, but the simplest would just be a "docking beam" that then like.. has crates floating in it or something.
The latter is possible, the former is.. not really, because the AI is currently too dumb to dock very reliably. Let alone with a weird capship docking bay. But.. anyway, stuff for the future.

Incarnate, a mooring beam would be really cool! Just make it look cooler than the mining beam... And please don't make the crates visibly float across the beam. That'd be really cheesy.
