There are a few things that are labeled funny on the PDA. These are not big issues at all but they'd be easy to change so I figured I'd bring it up.

The "Sensor Log" isn't really a log at all. A log would suggest that the information is stored after ships leave. I suggest that you rename this to simply "Sensors", "Transponder", "Transponder Readout", or some other variation on the transponder theme. Making this a transponder display would help explain why we know ships are in the sector even if they are out of radar range. This would also open up future possibilities for stealth modes and stuff like that (turning your transponder off).

Also, the "Mission Notes" tab doesn't necessarily have anything to do with a mission. I put notes about all kinds of stuff in there. I suggest you change this to "Log", "Notes", or "Personal Log".

uh .. "mission log" doesn'T seem to quite fit either. Because it's not just logging mission text but also allows the player to interact with the mission thingy.

As for the rest of your post... I don't really understand what you're trying to say. I just want to change the "Mission Notes" tab to exclude the word "Mission". I think you're talking about the overall mission menu.

Sensor Log was so named in anticipation of future functionality, some of which should be appearing on Friday.

Moving/renaming mission notes is not a bad idea, but will probably be done to cooincide with added functionality for that feature.

Go devs! It's good VO starts picking up speed now, and didn't do it, say... 3 months earlier, for purely egotistical reasons.
