Cap ship explosions need to be looked at again
I observed a trio of HACs engaging a teradon today. The teradon managed to destroy one of the damaged HACs. At the time, they were all clustered together (I know you guys are working on a new AI for cap ships or have one planned, so I won't go into that). After one HAC blew, it sent the other two flying through space about 2000-3000m away, rediculously fast. It also caused one of the caps to begin spinning like a top horizontally, completing a full rotation roughly every 2 seconds. It resembled a strangley shape ceiling fan. Obviously, this looked incredibly comical, not good for immersion. Maybe lower the force just a bit and increase the mass of the cap ships so they can better deal with it, while light fighters still get tossed around.
IMHO, a cap ship exploding shouldn't hurtle all nearby fighters 3000+m away. The explosion should be felt, but the way things are now, each time a cap explodes, the battle temporarily pauses as everyone is scattered 2000-3000m away from their previous point, meaning some ships are now 6000+ meters away from eachother. Fighters should get tossed around when something goes boom nearby, but maybe not quite that much.
Personally, I still think the damage from an explosion could be a little bit lower too, but I'm sure there are people who would disagree with me on that.

I think fighters should still go FLYING, but capships definitely need some more mass. Even a capship explosion should not send a similarly sized capship moving faster than it could with engines.
On capship mass- quite. I'd imagine that a HAC would be pushed back slightly by another HAC exploding, and not at all by a fighter explosion. On the same note, they shouldn't be able to be pushed around by fighters flying into them either(You can get a trident spinning at a good speed for a decent time if you hit it right)
What, no more fighter tugboats!? ;) LOL, yeah...
