Could we get a channel, like 101 or something, where pre-selected advertisements get blurted every 30 minutes or so? This would be almost like the station news tab, where people post one liners advertising events, guilds, etc. The first 5 or so approved would be cycled through over one week, at which point 5 more could be used. This would allow event-hosters to reach the audience who doesn't always check the RP boards, and also add to the immersion of the game. Plus I don't think it'd be that hard...

Billboards would obviously be cool, but I think just a channel would be good for now because it'd be easy to put in

And not one in their right mind would willingly turn to a channel that clutters up chat like no other (short of 201 and 202, maybe).

I like billboards better (especially because those have been in-game already), even if they'll be longer, instead of getting the devs to implement a feature almost no-one will use (use? what's the use?), effectively wasting time.

Hm. No one will WILLINGLY listen to ads, Smittens. Trust me, I'm *in* the ad businiess.

You have to sneak it up on 'em, like a product placement, or ads during TV breaks or Radio breaks, or "Advertisement INserts" in a magazine or whatnot.

No one will willingly turn to an advertising-only channel, save for those who wish to hear the funny ads, but then they'll want them all the time, and not only every 30 minutes.

I can't see it working. you'll have to post the ads in 100 in order to reach anyone.

Although I would like to see ads In-station for various things. Once the economy gets going, little want-ads and such would be neat. Perhaps they could be in the Station Welcome screen?

Leber, I love you like a brother, but since I can't walk ten minutes in any direction from my house without seeing 99 knuckleheads advertising something, I might have to add you to my KOS listing now that I find out you're in advertising.

There's got to be some kind of HONEST work that pays off in tequila that you could do.
