Ship Idea
How about you implement some ships in the game that aren't just TPG? TPG isn't a playable faction, it is not officially at war with anyone. Yet, all of the new ships and designs have thus far been TPG. Is TPG the only company that makes ships in VO? How about a war ship made for and by a waring faction? A unique capship for the Itani and Serco. And anti-pirate platfrom for UIT. Something that gives each faction a unique flavor instead of making them all look like they buy thier equiptment off the shelf at TPG-Mart.
I'm not complaining about the new ships by any means. I am complaining that they are all TPG, where are thier competitors? I know that TPG is the largest ship maker, but we need to see some diversity in the new designs.

better yet, give some goodies to the neutral factions.. we have all this Xang Xi standing from the Hive Hunts, let's put it to use!!
Dude, Zyl, chill... We've only had 3 new ships recently and artists tend to have their own style. Each of the three major factions has their own special ship and variants; most neutral factions have at least one special variant. Yes, this run of new stuff is TPG, but who knows to whom the next new stuff will go. Artwork is time-consuming and/or expensive (relatively), so one cannot simply just get a bunch of artwork and distribute it evenly. One also cannot just dump a whole lot of new content into the game if one cares about balancing it at all.
A) The Teradon and Trident were TPG only when they came out, I believe, so chill
B) TPG, story wise (if anyone cares besides me), are THE #1 ship manufacturer. They are the M$ of their day.

The Behomoth, Teradon, Constellation, Trident, and the Raptor are TGP.
Plus TGP's various models of other 'stock' ship designs (ie: TPG Maurauder Types B and X, etc.)
As Gavan points out, the recent string of new ships have all been TPG, throw in the EC-89 and you have 7 consecutive new TPG ships. Even if TPG are the VO equivilent of M$, where is the VO Apple, Sun, Red Hat, SCO, and IBMs?
Also, I really didn't mean to imply that the Itani/Serco/UIT factions should get all the new stuff. I am more in favor of seeing in game "competition" from other neutral coporate factions.
Actually, I will go on step further in saying that each corporation should represnt certain technologies as a whole. Such as Axia possibly making the entire positron line of blasters, while TPG could be attributed the plasma lines as thier competitor (which come as standard equiptment with all TPG EC-89s, just as Windows does with most PCs). This is also permiting things like the TPG foray into the phase blaster line with the Sparrow, which would be the same as M$ trying to 1-up Google in search technology. Each Coporation trying to fill a niche and make inroads in on a TPG monopoly and fleshing out the VO universe background for the better. However, this digresses from my initial point.
We have seen an entire string of TPG ships, when do we get to see the Orion or Valent answer to the Behemoth?
The new ships are comendable in design and are bringing a much needed facelift to VO. I am simply asking for a bit of diversity to be injected into the stream of new content.

I would personally like to see more difference between the factions and have certain ships that are not available unless you are a member of that faction, regardless of your standing..
I mean would the Serco REALLY give their most technologically advanced combat ship over to Itani pilots?
Obviously all factions are going to have some ships in common, since they trade with the UIT, but you would think they would both have their own fairly different military ships, which I guess they do sort of, but there is nothing stopping Serco from getting a Valkyrie or an Itani getting a Prometheus..
I guess that would make balance issues harder to resolve, but it would make the game far more interesting to have lots of nation unique ships.. rather than just a few variants of existing ships that anyone can get with enough rep anyway..

First off, since your faction standings determine a large part of your character, the Serco would not be selling Promethei to your run-of-the mill Itani, and certainly not to any Akanese; they would be selling to those neutral Itani who have vigorously, repeatedly proved they are trustworthy of such a great honor and respect. Also, for balance reasons, I am wholeheartedly against having the best of anything permanently restricted to use by some characters. The best of anything should only ever be user-craftable and/or available based on attaining some license/badge/mission tree/faction standing available to ALL characters. This is one of the great things about Vendetta, especially over the likes of WoW. There is no reason nor necessity to maintain several characters (instance tank, PvP healer, PvP tamer druid, PvP magic user...), all constantly played to keep up with the game’s incessant procurement of new rare item drops, in case something gets buffed/nerfed. This is a wonderful game of twitch combat, not a game of time spent online, or a game of character creation, or a game of character development choices.
Yes, this means I am against the way Neutron Blaster Mk3s were available before (before drops) and believe that the UIT should ALSO have had a chance to score a week of production, or that simply having high enough faction standing with Itani/Serco would have given access to N3s at their stations when they won.
