I was wondering, when going to worm holes and destitnation points.we could set up an auto-pilot.If any of you have ever played freelancer take an idea of there auto pilot.Say just click the sector you want to go to and another icon int he nav map saying engage auto-pilot.to engage hostile enemys just click another icon while playing saying disengage auto-pilot.also wondering if you could make a better way of landing in the docking bays.i can never land straight.
sincity35, I suggest you use paragraphs to format your text, so as to make it more enjoyable to read, it will work in your favour.
As for autopilots, I'm unsure as to whether that's actually needed in VO or not. Personally, I don't think I'd ever use it, just like I never used the autopilot in the Wing Commander games.
For docking, it takes a bit getting used to, but you'll be soon able to dock at high speeds with pirates on your tail, I'm sure. Even I managed to learn it :)

I'm not sure you're clear on the concept of Vendetta's universe. It's dangerous, and takes place in real time. Putting in an autopilot that does what you describe would simply make you fodder for the first bot or pirate to come along.
As regards auto-engaging hostile enemies, I don't think that would fly with either the developers or the community, as combat in autopilot is anaethema to everything that makes Vendetta what it is (e.g. realtime, skill-based rather than stat-based combat)
Finally, to dock, the important thing is to remember your brakes: The spacebar. Whenever you feel yourself sliding out of control, hold that until you stop. Hope this helps!

That was a restrained and well-thought out reply, ctishman. Good Job!
I don't think he was saying that one would auto-engage enemies. I think he was saying that one would disengage auto-pilot in order to [manually] engage enemies. Still, CT worked "anaethema" in there, so he must be right.
I capitalized and punctuated his sentence below to be a little clearer.
"To engage hostile enemys just click another icon while playing, saying "disengage auto-pilot"."
Otherwise I agree with CT.
-Autopilot will quickly make you into Sedina Pirate Chow.
-Docking is a skill that will soon seem automatic to you, and you will have the pleasure of docking at ludicrous speeds and unnatural angles.

While the ec-89 is a slower ship, there are faster ships and different battery combination that allow you to use full turbo forever. When you discover these combinations you may have less of a desire for autopilot, becuase it will take less time to complete actions.
Ok i understand what you mean.
