replace player-kills stats w/ damage-inflicted
After reading the "Dev Opinion on Lame Tactics" I thought of an idea of replacing the player-kills stat (or augmenting it). Call it damage-inflicted. Weight it so one unit of damage-inflicted equals roughly the amount of damage it takes to destroy the average ship.
If I fight two players take one down the 70% and the other down to 30%, then I have incremented my damage-inflicted stat by about 1 unit.

10% of a cappy + 90% of a raptor makes one unit?
Obviously, damage on some ships may have to be weighted.
hull and weapon damage is in integer units so damage dealt could just be a number. then there could be a 3 way stat of how many cents that would equal how many moths and how many say.....tridents
because we all know how it's just as easy to inflict 3000 damage on an IBG as it is to inflict it on a loaded moth.
Um one question. Why?
