I propose we have one day a week, or every two weeks, or every month depending on what the devs see fit, where they STOP working on VO and play! My pirate friend saw a1k0n in the short bus, and they were fighting for a bit, ultimately ending in SN grabbing a type kill on a dev! This was awesome, seeing the hard worker who we make fun of so much (though in a good way!) taking time to just chill. If this became a regular thing, as I think it was in alpha? then we could have SUPER dev interraction, instead of the normal amount we have that's already superior to other games.

Yay devs! You're awesome! Take some time off!

As a note, if anyone would STOP paying for some stupid reason like "They're taking time to play their game instead of make it" then I wouldn't want them in our community anyway, so that's no reason to turn this down! Also if I had money to spend, I'd consider paying MORE for this to happen!

I'm against it, for the following reasons:

One: If we fix a day in the week/month/whatev, the devs might have to turn it down frequently due to sporadically high workloads.

Two: I'd much rather see them play whenever they want to, not on a day imposed on them.

While I am NOT against it, I can easily see, as toshiro says, the Devs deciding to skip on many of these days when they are focused on a particularly hard/interesting bit of design, whether the actual dates are worked out beforehand or not. So I still far prefer the surprise of finding a Dev on my six shooting me with a superbus.

That's fine. The idea of having a fixed day was to avoid devs continually missing it due to lots of work. They need some time off!

Yeah, I'm kinda against it for the same reason.

It's more fun (for me at least) for the devs to randomly pop ingame and blast us a few times, then get back to work as if nothing had happened.

Yea, I'd pay to have jex suprised by superbusses more often... sounds like fun!

Devs need more time off. I hope they can kick back working for a week after rerelease and rerelease bug fixes. Do no work to progress the game, just stick around in case the server goes out. :)

they probably do play, they probably just go on under other names, because if they go on under their 'real' name they get spammed with questions about 'whens the next update' 'is this ship gonna be more xyz' etc etc.

... or shot for their NiCads, or pelted with devwarp requests...

... And several people have them /buddy'd (taking them OFF the /buddy list would be bad PR). Said /buddy'd people (or people watching the relay) then announce loudly on 100 that "OMG MOMREATH24 IS ON!!1", and everyone pelts said dev with the earlier-mentioned devwarp requests...

They could have their own alias guild. The [DDC] Develepor Death Commandos. Or something similar. Hm... would they be Serco or Itani? Maybe they could fly a convoy of constellations and terradon's from Sedina B-8 to somewheres so we could all attack them.

Or instead we could all just give extra money to their company. I'm sure that would be more appreciated.
