Coupla suggestions...
First of all, station exploiters piss me off. I think you shouldn't be able to undock and redock at the same station within the same 60 seconds. The invulnerability wears off long before then, so you can't just hide in the station and poke your head out every 10sec or so to throw an avalon at the nearest wall.
Second, station miners are worse. I once saw someone lay a series of lightning mines around the station in s15 and go blitzing out of radar. I pursued him, but ultimately he got away. I remember someone proposing that each station (including neutral stations) should have a "minesweeper" bot that attacks all mines within, say, 400m of the station. I liked the idea.
While I'm on a roll, why don't I suggest something else? For the sake of heating it up, double the armor and weapons bays of all the craft, and reduce prices of weapons and ammunition by 50% with the exception of the avalon, which is normal price but does 2x the damage. The end result is twice the projectiles in the air, which IMO sounds like more fun.

Nice suggestions BUT...there is a suggestion board where this would be good.
About the idea of more projectiles in the air sounds like fun...also comes at a cost...more lag...or ppl with crappy video cards will die because they will have the hardest trouble controlling thier ship.

Station exploiting in the traditional sense should be practically impossible now that it is impossible to fire during the invunerability (the hole was plugged last night I understand). A player that stays relatively immobile near a station is relatively vunerable to fire from gemini's and rockets. If player spends 60 seconds outside of a station, you ought to have a fair chance of killing him or at least doing him as serious of harm as he could do to you.
In the long run we know even that is going to be plugged. The next phase involves the station defending itself from people that fire weapons near it, and that includes the possibility that the station will lock you out of the docks.
And in the long long run thier will be a reputation system so that players that frequently engage in criminal behavior will bear an RP burden - certain NPC's might become hostile to them, NPC factions might place bounties on thier heads, loss of military rank might occur (making it harder to get the good weapons), certain NPC's might refuse to deal with them, certain stations might even lock them out, and so forth.
Station mining is not a serious threat to experienced players. We already know that all stations will eventually get defensive turrets that will among other things sweep mines from opposing teams.
This has been covered dozens of times.

Heh. Maybe I just get a kick out of venting my frustration at hapless newbies who don't bother reading a few posts before offering there own suggestions.
And its not my design, it is what I've gathered from the accumulated replies of the devs to questions like this.

I know, but at least you are willing to do the effort of stating where the newbies otherwise need to go through 10000 posts and counting :D
it's a lot faster, it reflects that the community isn't that bad and in all ,it's much better then , just stop wining you winer remark, thjat you hear lately :D
