More stuff in sectors
I'd like to see a sector with two stations in it.
Or perhaps a station, a long string of roids, and a racetrack at the end of the string of roids.
Or maybe some discarded hulks of ships that we could play in.

I'm pretty sure those have been suggested before...
If I remember correctly, the game engine doesn't currently work for two separate stations in the same sector... but yes - that would be hella-great.
On that same note, I'd love to see more activities taking place in one sector - like a capture the flag type sector with two (maybe more?) stations in the same sector... or some kind of competition between the two.
I remember this one system in Escape Velocity that had two planets that were fairly far apart. The 'sector' was plagued heavily by pirate presence, but you could make a lot of money trading between the two planets.

I do remember Luis is working in props for the sectors. I'm also bracing myself for the obvious whines about how all that stuff in the sectors drops someone's fps' to 0.5 even when they have their PC turned off.
Yes, I've wanted this stuff for awhile. I need an intra-sector navigation system. I've commented on this in several other threads in the past.
We used to have two stations in one sector, I can't see how it'd be a problem now.

I recall there being (during late alpha, 3.5.x, maybe during beta) a sector in Dau that had two stations in it; one large one and a tiny one off in the distance. Earlier in alpha (3.2.x-3.4.x) Sector 5 had two stations in it. Perfectly doable.

a strip mall of different nation/company stations...
that would be wicked... place it somewhere dead-centre in space where we could congragate...

Miharu, it's been suggested before to have a multi-national sector with all 3 stations and a roid field in the center.
The stations would be far enough for the NFZ not to interfere with other station's guards. The roid field at the center would have served as a training ground/general brawl place, much like B8 was for a while.

is it posable to have stations that don't have NFZs? 'cus that would be a good feature for boarder stations that are routenely besieged.
If I owned a station that had the risk of being besieged, the last thing I'd want to do is abolish the NFZ.
Oh yeah, perfect for the Nation war, Moldy. A nice sector in Arta or something which had all 3 nations present, just like Mogul said.
That would rule. Since Incarnate's going thru and changing up all the asteroids anyway right now, I say he changes up a sector like this as well. If the stations are far enough apart, the fps will be just fine, just make 'em 10000 m away from the center of the roid field, with a "leading" string of asteroids that points you towards the stations.
The stations would have GOOD equipment, allowing Itani to buy valks & IBG's, Serco to buy Proms and SVG's, and UIT to buy TD hogs and whatever else they've got. N3's would be available, you know, the good stuff.
The roid field should be sparse enough so that it doesn't create lots of fps problems, but not so sparse as to be insignificant. Out away from the action should be some pretty decent mining areas.
I think most of us would never leave this sector, then. Is that a drawback?
