1) Bigger areas, with more and denser asteroids (mainly in asteroid fields), which would be ideal for
2) Moving asteroids
3) Stars are better quality when zoomed in, currently they look like what they are, a bitmap on the inside of a sphere.
4) FTL drive (Hyper-jump drive), fuel, which is refillable at stations, also costs money, more efficient fuel for more money. Fuel prices vary from system to system.
5) Player-made stations, with various mini-games (made up exclusively for vo) to bet your hard earned credits on.
6) Crafting
7) Increase customizing options for ship's colors. i.e. custom emblems, symbols of low quality, but paintable ships, and player stations. All designs and images are subject to reviewal, anyone with pornographic, explicit text, or anything else tasteless, can be grounds for account deletion and cancelation (no refunds)

1) That's in the works. Inc is remodling some of the asteroid fields to have more character when he gets the time.

2) This has been suggested MANY times before, and I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon because of the nature of the physical stuff in VO. Sations, asteroids and the like are VERY hard for the devs to manually move, and would be even more of a hassel to program to automatically move with player interaction.

3) That's because you don't have your background detail on highest. On everything below high, the backgrounds are bitmaps. On High and Highest, the background objects are actual individual objects. IE, planets rotate, stars expand their graphics to fit your zoom, and you don't end up with any crapped up backgrounds. If your videocard can handle it, I would DEFINITELY suggest turning up the background detail to highest.

4) Expand on this, where would it take you, how would you activate it and why would it be good for the game.

5) You can bet your hard-earned credits that this is coming in the future, but it's so distant I can't even say Soon&trade.

6) Momerath's working on the dynamic economy right now, and once that's in place... Crafting will be just around the corner, and player owned cappies with it. Unlike player owned stations, crafting is even Sooner than Soon&trade.

7) This will most likely be an option with player owned stations, but, as the devs have told us multiple times, probably not with ships. Reasons why? The ships are high-poly enough that if a client has to load and display an entire customized ship, (or HUNDREDS of customized ships in the same sector) every second of game-play, it would COMPLETELY freak out. You'd get about .5 frames per second. I dunno about you, but I'll take playability over ship customization. Unlike EVE, VO isn't designed to be a slightly interactive screensaver.

Actually, Person, most stars are always bitmaps, even on Highest.

I think just the planets become models on the highest detail.

Yea, I'm with crip and rogue.

As for point 7, I don't think the game would flip out if you made more coloring options available (pick 2 diff hues) or emblems - it's just textures/shaders, and while the supply would need to be limited (to cut down on client-size and/or bandwidth) custom logos for say, guilds, shouldn't be out of the question performance-wise.

Except the current colours are done as an alpha mask on the textures...
