i have a few suggestions for going to planets:
1.to go to a planet you go to a section that has a planet in it and use the nav system to go to sub sections which would be a city or a military base or something interesting.
2.there should be places to repair and buy stuff like a station.
3.there should be a couple missions that you can only do on a planet like supporting ground forces or something.
4.i dont think that players should be able to walk around on the ground but mabye purchase a small vehicle that you can store as cargo and take to other planets.
i dont know if the makers of the game will ever make it possible to go to planets but if they do i think these suggestions would be fun to have

Yes, this has been mentioned plenty, but one thing I never figured out from browsing through those posts is this: Devs, this seems to be popping up consistently. Do you plan on implementing some kind of feature like this (obviously not sometime soon, though), or is this just some wishfull thinking? That's all I'd like to know, thx. :)

We do want to do this. But it's a major undertaking and not in the cards for the near-future. I've commented pretty extensively about it in past threads.
