I think he is suggesting that we have a spanish translation for the game manual
Which wouldn't be such a bad idea, in my opinion. Also, a german translation of it might be worth looking into (and I could help with that, I think), as well as a french one.
If I don't read english I could learn how to play the game using a manual in my own language, yes, but since I still need english to do missions, and soon the missions will be the only way to get anything in the game, it won't do me much good, will it?
While we're on the subject of language, some people have actually suggested making the game's text bilingual (english-spanish). Assuming translation's readily available, how hard and practical would it be? I can see a lot of problems with the latter, mainly having two communities with different languages in the same place (saw it happen in Shadowbane and Redmoon with japanese and Korean players respectively).

I guess it might be worth it for a few players to provide the translations--the devs don't necessarily have the time on their hands at the moment. I'd be more than willing to help translate stuff, but I'll need help.
Actually, a localization package for the game would go along well with the skins. Skins for graphics, localization for text. Other companies (for example Google) have had great success with user-contributed localization.
i think translated versions of the manual would be a good idea, evin if the in game text is still in english. after all the manual is designed to be where you go for help. so while you'd still need to knoe english to play the game, you don't nesesarily want to be strugling with language trouubles when you go tho the manual because you don't understand something. basicly it would ease the learning curve for players who know english but it isn't their prefered language.
that said, getting anything translated is generally verry anoying/difficult/expencive if you want any sort of quality. so this is probably on the "would be nice if" list of things for the devs to do.

I'll get a quote to translate the game manual. Nothing binding. Just a ballpark "planning" figure to have it translated by a competent translation agency.
Of course, the english version should be in its completed, final, and "locked-down, set in stone" form before you even THINK about starting on translations. I've seen too many corporate projects get nailed with giant translation costs just because they couldn't stop making changes to the english copy. (Imagine a 16-language instruction manual. Imagine two or three little changes to the english copy, and the resulting changes to the other 15 languages. Imagine these little changes occuring often. Welcome to my world.)

I'd be happy ot help with a project like this. I've lived in a spanish speaking country since I was 7, I am now fifteen. I am fully bilingual. I've seen spanish speaking players leave plenty of good games because of a lack of translation. True, like Leber said, this shouldn't be something that gets immediate attention, but it doesn't have to be expensive, either. You don't need agencies when you have perfectly capable and perfectly "competent" users that offer to do it as a donation. When there is a game this good, its nice to help make it better. :)
