More security
I think that sectors 6, 4 and is it 12? all need more defence stations/bots. These sectors were made with new people in mind but theres still alot of newb killing going on in these sectors and not just one person its always groups. (and no it's rarely a flag attempt.)
The station defense bot AI is still in the process of being improved. Flag capturing also won't be as easy as it is now. Hopefully that'll provide some form of defense against n00b killing, as long as the learn to keep close to the station and check their sector stats constantly.
Another solution may be to have another sector at each of the nations' home sector. One that isn't connected to any of the other neutral sectors, but rather going in an outward fashion on the map, so that it's a dead end in other words. And only people of that nation would be able to jump (excluding ANY flag carriers to prevent exploiting), allowing newbies to practice without being killed by other enemy players.
Sectors 6, 4, and 12 should remain as is though, because Ideally there should be a perimeter of sectors around nation's home to indicate private territory. Just as a way of early warning for that nation to get ready for defense, as well as provide a challenge for the invading nation by limiting their home station's location to be a little farther away, preventing instant respawn wars and whatnot.
For now, the only real way to stop n00b killing is to assign teammates to chase pirates around, or bot with your n00b teammates in the same sector. For the most part this has worked well for The Neutral Territories.
