RP thread filtering
Perhaps limited to the Role Playing forum, it would be super sweet if the creator of a thread could self-administer replies so that we could filter out the junk that some people leave.
This would limit thread highjacking and leave the storyline intact.

I disagree. Only the forum moderators should have power over the posts.
Look at most RP threads.
Most contain nice story line up until the point some doof thinks he's being funny and destroys the flow.
FM doesn't always read the threads and when we ask for some cleanup it doesn't always get done.
At the very least, the creator of a thread should have an option to flag an item for removal by the FM.

Post edit power: NO.
Post removal power: YES.
Post removal power: YES.
And only for the original thread starter.
Definitely a good thing.

Hah. I'll never post in any of Lecter's threads, then. I sense my pithy comments will disappear.
but Leber, if you don't post because you are afraid he'll delete them the doc wins.
And if he does, the doc will delete them. Win win for him.
Anyway, Post deletion and editing is not such a good idea. Flagging a post with big bright orange letters for the guides to see, I think would be better.

i don't see a problem with giving the thread creator the ability to delete posts in the RP forum only.
I know the FMs can't be everywhere (or can they?) and that usually, threads get hijacked in RP.
However, I find that entirely bearable and I don't think power over the posts of others should lie in the hands of users other than the devs and the forum moderators, regardless of where the posts are. There is just too much potential for abuse.
What moldyman said about flagging them seems much more appropriate to me, and also consistent with what I have seen being common usage on message boards in the internet.
That is, of course, only my personal opinion.
