What are some things a new player should try out once they finish the tutorial?

My list so far
- take trade missions
- hunt collector bots
- explore sectors
- go to a mining station and take the mining tutorial
- trade for a level 1 trade license and then use the wraith for botting

-join the military (take up manning turrets on the cap ships heading towards the BP/BS sectors once this becomes posable)

for the more adventurous, escort missions are a wonderful way to tour the galaxy on someone else's dime..
