Maybe someone knows that, maybe not :). I was travelling for an cargo run and i was stopped by two ion storms. In those storms, ive been high damaged. Ive got to the destanation with 5% Hull. Annoying.

So, i thought if you could implement escorts for hire, like in Escape Velocity. Then, you must pay those escorts for every jump an exact sum.

Been suggested, and hopefully the devs will implement something like this soon. We'll just have to wait and see.

wouldnt it be easier to just plot courses around the asteroid sectors and avoid ion storms?

actually however escorts for hire are a planned part of the game in the future, its coming 'soon' as the saying goes.

We have hire-able NPCs in testing, to some extent. We're working on it.
