Ah, thank you A1k0n, I think I see what you're getting at now =)

WhoMe:
"im last! woot!"

yes, it is official! the person who holds the all-time record for lowest dueling score is also the one with the least PvP skill... who would've guessed? =P

Zamyx:

I wasn't referring to the k/d ratio. That imo, doesn't show anything, since, if players were really interested they could go kill huge numbers of collectors.

Back on topic:

it would be interesting to see pk/death counts per ship/wep etc..

if every pk/death was recorded along with the equipment that you're using, you could look through your weapons and actually see your percentages.

those weapon statistics really only need to be available for the player (and not everyone) to view.

But yea, I'd really like to see that kind of information.

Using the stats of weaps/ships, I wonder if it could be taken farther...

Possibly it could be used to give a "bonus" award (money, xp?) if you managed to kill a person with a "high" rating on the ship/weaps they were using if you were using a "low" rating setup?

This might give people more reason to try a combo they are not that good at if they can get awarded for using it. I believe this would make it where people would use more than just what they were good at.

Here's the thing... how do you determine what makes a combo of weapons good?

Most people don't use popcorn... but when people do use it and they're not screwing around... it works really well.

Just ask Bojan... Vult w/ 2 n2s v. Vult w/ n2 & popcorn... n2 & popcorn wins... because it has a higher hit ratio even if it doesn't do as much damage.

Weapons are good or bad depending on how you use them... at least in the energy category with the exception of the Gat cannon (note: NOT turret) and plas-cannons (note: NOT the plasmadev... it's actually pretty dang nice).

@icbm1987 - The way I was stating it is using the list that A1k0n was talking about. It tracks stats on what you use to kill the most and so on, giving a ranking on it.

I was suggesting that if you kill someone with a "low" ranking setup on your stats that you are awarded for it more so than if you use what you are "good" at.

By awarding using things that you don't rank high on, it might make people use ships/weaps that they wouldn't use, giving more variety of what you see, and what people use.

I hope that kinda helps explain what I was getting at.

The increased usage of said weps could increase their ranking.

So it would be a dynamic system that encouraged deviation from the norm.

Yes, agreed, Shape. Deviation from the norm is good. I really want to see something like this implemented.

If that happens... then more people will use the Plasmataur of doom that kills up close!?!?!

I am conflicted.
