Systematic Jump-in points
In the spirit of better cooperative strategic maneuvers, I think it would do a great deal if there was a more obvious relationship between the sector that you jump in from, and your distance from the system-centers/wormholes.
As it stands, there ARE repositories that have the distances for closest and furthest approach from wh's, but memorization is tough, and planning a strategy with multiple people is needlessly complicated.
It would be nice to have players using sectors as ambush jump points, or other players using non-standard jump routes for a strategic advantage.
A simple way would be to have the distance from the system center be a function of sectors jumped, and the orientation be a function of the direction jumped from. But there are other ways it could be done.

This exists, however, like you said, it's a lot of info to collect and hard to pass it out in a group in strategic situations. I know a few jumping points along the Deneb Run course that help me.
