the vulture's wings

Jan 21, 2006 who? me? link
utilizing a primary resource ( http://www.incarnate.net/cent4.png ) i have come up with the idea that the vulture should have much narrower wings in its collision mesh. after all, its wings on the real model are much narrower, and making them thinner on the collision mesh would create a more realistic ship.

Agreed.

Yes.

I like this, specially after the Centurion gets bigger. Both ships would now be viable.

I'd also like it if the prom's collision mesh was expanded, say, 500%.

I concur. Since I use Vults almost exclusively for PvP (though I have become rather fond of a 2-Jack 1-Neut Centaur setup), I can say that it's ridiculous to watch enemy shots splatter against nonexistant hull four or five feet below the actual wings.

Of course, I can also say that I'm an idiot, because the only reason I know this is because I tried PvPing in a 3rd person view once.

along with this suggestion, we also need a redone cockpit, as the current one really doesnt work well, even in black. O.o

I think Inc said he was actually working on minimizing the vult's wing collision mesh.

Yes, but if you make them thinner then make them longer too?

i was thinking just making them more realistic with the current model for the ship.

the cent does not need to be bigger or anything about any of the varients need to be changed, they are all fine as they are.

kix: currently lengthening the vult's wings would just increase the number of vulture wingbug deaths. If Andy (or whoever) can get the wingbugging to stop, then anything can be done to the vulture's wing collision mesh, but until then, it'll just confuse newbies more.
