it just seems weird that they don't protect users, especially when they don't fire upon the attacking npcs. even at stations where the user outranks the npc

Where were you attacked by an npc in a station zone, I want to go there? Are you sure that it wan't a strike force after you because you were in territory you are not aligned with? Like an Itani in Serco space or something??

yeah, it wasa daltas hold, but I've had it happen in latos too, when serco convoys were docking.

and for the record, even though I was at daltas hold when I got attacked, I didn't attack the convoy... I was just docking.

Doesn't matter, if your faction rating is bad, the guards will attack you no matter what. ToO >:)

I have perfect faction standings for almost every station, except serco. I was at a station where I have +970 when I was attacked.

the guards should have defended me. they would have defended any other npc ship in that situation.

well they just aren't that smart, remember they're union, it's not in the contract ;)

They should simply respect the no-fire zone. Follow you but not fire until out the zone.
