a different way to implement capturable space stations

All the capturable spacestations could already exist in the game. Only the devs can change the number and they can't be destroyed. Each capturalbe station will have guard post which are mini space stations with guns that are computer controled. They could also store a defence fleet that launches in combat. They will have a maintence cost to maintain and the more and you can have as many as you can afford. To take a station all of theses will have to be destroyed. Then the sheild around the space stations sheild generator will fail. This will have to be destroyed while under attacks from space station guns and defence force. Once this is destroyed the space station battery will kick in. The better the batter the longer it last. Once the battery fails. The space stations sheild fails. Then several facilaties on the outside of the space station will have to be destroyed until you reach the basic station(without researched enhancements). At this time a special door will open up and whoever enters that door becomes the new owner of the space station. If someone else shoots at certain points around the door while someone is inside, that players ship will be destroyed and it like they where destroyed in combat. Once inside that door the player can hire civilians to repair the sheild generator and manufature guard post. A new batter will have to be made or bought since it was one of the facilities destroyed. In the begging the space station will be easy to envade and a player controled defence fleet will have to guard it. Once enough guard stations are made it will be difficult to take. It could take anywhere form a day to a month to take a station. It depends on the stations defence and the attack offence. One tatic will be to use up the owner money maintaining the station.

Of course the owner or owners can just check the statues of the station without having to go to it. They can also oberate their station without actually being their(in any space station menu or from their ship).

Anyone who own a station will be able to make easy money(fixing it is very coslty though). Each station will have a certain number of places on the to put facilites(which can be destroyed on the outside). If it maxes out though, you can buy or manufature some type of ring to be attached to the station for more space. Each facility will improve the station somehow.
+5% faster building. 2% more work force. Ability to manufacture something new. -2% cost reduction.guard station laser do 5% more damage. more armor for guard stations. Better batters for ships. adding another battery.etc...

The workforce determines how fast something can be completed. It can be divided up or on a one task.

The details on how a station works will have to be worked out.

Okay...so that makes a station capturable...

Why the hell would you want to capture a station? To keep people you don't like from using it? To put on extra buildings that do hardly anything? This looks like it'll take hours of tedious, repetitive work requiring no skill. And then when you're logged off, any n00b can just take it from you!

I know it's long but can you read it more carefully. It would be set up so the owner could easily make money( which still needs to be worked out). It will be a gold mind if business is good. Also once you have several station guards, it will not be easy to take out. With enough station guards(number still needs to be determined so its balanced). It will be hard for a guild to take it over. You can keep a few repair bots that repairs station guards in safe times. Any one will be able to use the station(unless you have someone you really hate). The owner sets the prices. After having so many of a certain ore, they can tell the station to not buy any more. The attachments improve the station efficiency and capabilities (meaning even more money making potential).

CAPTURING STATIONS:
