I've seen a lot of posts lately where the original post has been deleted, so I have absolutely no idea what that post was about. Could we please change it so that the ORIGINAL post cannot be deleted? (If someone wants to delete that bad they can ask FM or someone else to remove it.)

Because the originators of the event asked twice (REPEAT 2X) to have it deleted so that they could change the parameters of the competition without undue confusion. I suppose it would have been helpful had I locked it instead, but that's not what was requested. This I can change:

As for Genka's posts (now moved to a more appropriate spot), I simply hadn't had a chance to read them yet. Have people forgotten that I am a volunteer with a job and a family? I moderate these forums in stolen moments at work and at home when I'm not caring for my wife and kids.

As for the the threads where the original post was deleted, that was the work of an individual deleting his own posts. I had nothing to do with it. I suspect he would have asked somebody to delete them if he was unable to do it on his own. I really don't have time to honor extra requests to remove posts, so I'm not in support of the topic of this thread.

Well, I'm sorry for insinuating anything then. I checked back earlier today, noticed it was missing, and assumed that it was locked to prevent a "Proms suck" debate, of which there have been many.

Thanks. I do see where you might suspect something was up. Most of the time when people think there's something sinister up, it's simply because there's only a few of us and the interface is...limited.

A "Prom's Suck" debate wouldn't be a problem, so long as people can avoid flaming each other.
