Guild faction

Oh no! More faction rating!

I really see guilds as an extension to corporate and nation factions such as TPG or Itani. Given this, it would be nice to have guild-specific faction rating.

Now, until we have some sort of guild missions ( http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/6494 ), it'd be hard to handle this automatically but a manual process would still be nice.

The commands say it all

/guild faction [rating] [name]

where [rating] is either of

KOS
dislike
neutral
respected
admired

and where [name] is either a player name or a guild tag, including brackets for clarity. Eg.:

/guild faction KOS [FOOB]
/guild faction admired "GooGah"

When guild is given a specific faction rating, any member of that guild inherit this rating, superseding any personal guild rating. Any non-rated user or guild gets neutral rating by default

In the above commands, GooGah would be admired (and green on radar) no matter what his nation rating is. If ever GooGah would join [FOOB], then he'd be marked as KOS for guild members. Should he leave, he'd be back to admired.

So, other than radar-tagging, wich would be useful in itself, faction rating could offer some specialized services to rated people:

KOS: no service
Disliked:: no service
Neutral: no service
Respect: acces to guild messaging ( http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/12353#151781 )
Admired: access to guild bank ( http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/12352#151780 )

And posting all your ideas as separate was really annoying.

AND... I actually don't like this idea at all...

this would make the hypercube a lot more comlicated

and ... you know... it's be realy hard to keep track of, and probably would just confuse most people.

There's no need for a guild faction system. It's easy to spread a message among guild members using the MOTD or an announcement on their site. Also, there is little demand for chatting with an entire guild (just make a group), and none for access to deposit into their bank.

This could easily be done by all individuals once the Friendly Fire "feature" is nerfed and the user-customizeable IFF is implemented, so we can SET and MODIFY who is hostile and who is not on our OWN radars.

But yeah the hypercube would need to be 64-dimensional or something in this case...

To keep things simple for the player, there could ongoing missions that the leaders of the guild would set and every time a mission is completed, then the player would recieve a set amount of amount of points.

ex. The HSAF will give 20 points everytime a member in its guild kills the queen.

A this point though, this is useless but if each guild had its own secret technology it developed, but you have to have a high enough guild standing to buy it. This technology would be developed out of guild funds.

The manual assign can be used for player the guild leader are more familiar with.
