Have you looked into using the PayByCash option? Lots of other games have done it too:

Isn't cell payment popular in Japan? I mean, I'd consider it...

Dggood I'd stop worrying about credit cards and start worrying about your english teacher. Apparently he/she is using drugs.

I thought most people would have realized by now that anyone has the right to use the kind of language they prefer. Especially online. There is nothing in linguistics, semantics or etymology that suggest that one form of verbal or written communication is less effective than another. It's just that many of us aren't used to the kind of language this fella uses. So, it is not a matter of efficiencey, but common usage and the sample group. Us, in this case. I'm ready to bet my shiny new Merceny Marauder that Dggood's friend would understand him better than us...

So, try to stay on topic (just like I am not right now), give him the answers he seeks, and disregard how he writes. And if his english teacher is indeed on drugs, I'm behind him every step of the way. If I was teaching english in the current american school system, I would be too :-D

I would love to see more alternative methods of payment. I've no problem with using my VISA to pay, and it's currently the best option I can come up with, but for those unable to pay with credit cards, more options would be great. Such as pay by phone. However, I can imagine it would be either difficult or expensive for the devs to implement, and probably both. But here's to future more alternative payment options.

But in the meanwhile, try Moofed's suggestion. I've never used PayByCash, but it seems to be a viable alternative to credit cards.

I think we should establish a rule that there can only be one post per page making fun of someone's typing. That way it looks like there's only a couple jerks playing, as opposed to how we all know it is.

Grammar isn't something to be treated lightly. It's much easier to understand what people say if they use vaguely proper grammar and spelling than if they drop half the vowels (luv, giv, txt), use "custom spellings" (certian), and ignore punctuation.

@ smittens:

You mean lots of cool people playing and a couple of jerks?

Aaaanyway, consider the suggestion made. There are increased expenses inherent in setting up pay-by-phone. When there are thousands or millions of subscribers, the fees can be spread around and won't be that noticeable. When there are hundreds, those fees can jack up subscription rates to a point that exceeds what people would be willing to pay. This is something that can be revisited at a later date.

If someone is doesn't feel like typing everything correctly, they could always type it in Microsoft Word and either have the auto correct fix it or fix it themself.

One idea I had for payment is to be able to buy the amount of hours you are playing as another payment option. That way players that don't play that often can buy game play time that never expires.

Wow...that's just like a big vat of gasoline on a warm day.

Luckily, the thread's come about full circle, so...

To nobody in particular: I have a VERY full life, and yet I still have time to communicate well. One time-saver: ieSpell. It's a free add-on spell checker that runs from the browser. I'm sure there are versions for other browsers. When I'm done typing, I highlight, hit a button, and voilą! My ignorance is concealed for another day.

(It even added the accent on "voilą")
