I have seearched for such suggestion, but not found such one.

It would be nice to send a private/group/guild OFFLINE message, so when addresssee logs back in he could see the messages left for him.

that works if you are buddies, also the commander of a guild can set a MOTD that all members will see when they log in that day.

Buddies are buddies, but in many cases it is useful to leave such note to someone, who is not your buddy. If the functionality is implemented for buddies, it should be easy to enable it generally.
