Scrap yard
Anybody else thinks the scrap metal mission is a wee bit over demanding?
Cutting it in half, still, would require a heck of a time to gather.

I agree. Without lone traders scrap seems much harder to get. Lets cut it down to 30 average.

Eh, I dunno. If all you were doing was the scrap mission, then yeah, the requirements are too high for the reward, but I wouldn't recommend doing the scrap mission by itself. Do one of the combat missions, and collect scrap metal, and then after you finish the mission take the scrap mission to turn in the scrap you've collected.
This would be simpler if we could take concurrent missions, but that's not necessary.

It should have some basic level requirements, so newbs don't waste hours figuring out how to collect scrap, collect it, and move on. Like, 1/1/1/0/0 or something.

I would have been more trough-all had I seen this as a suggestion.
I merely wanted to have a discussion around it.
The idea of stock-iling scrap is fine and dandy for now. But when we reach station quotas, I doubt having to gather 400+ scrap CUs will fit the quotas. So it's not like you can cumulate tons of the stuff while doing other missions.
Besides, I dont want my ex-wife to see me running around with a beat-up Atlas collecting metal scraps around the block!

how about just cutting down the demand for lower-level players? ie. at 0/0/0/0/0, you only need 18-20u, and at 1/1/1/1/0, 30u, 2/2/2/2/0, 35u, etc...
why not make it more dynamic and give a small reward for every 10 cu you bring in (like the combat missions) then the amount of scrap required can rise slightly as your level increases.
so i take the scrap yard mission, drop off 45 cu (4 bonuses) then abort to do something else. but if i only bring in 11 cu, i still get 1 bonus. then at higher levels the amount per bonus increases.
