Hey guys, i've been out of it for awhile, about 4 months really, last time I was here things were kinda going south, but were still up and running I see, so can anyone fill me in as of june? Now that that's out of the way I got pretty tired of searching for old threads on suggestions, and good ideas that just died becuase nobody took the time to read them. So I wanted to start a list of links to each one of these threads
and hopefullly re-open some of those old topics.

Topic 1: revamping the website
Last time I opened this up the devs noted that it would take to much time, they were right but Ido have a finalized layout I would like to offer to them once again.

Topic 2: Lack of different ships

I'll give the devs credit for what they have but It would help to have a much larger variety. There used to be a thread that was a kind of competition to make a vendetta ship, or show off something you would like to see. It would be nice to renew that competition now.

Drawings are good as well as long as they have several angles so everyone can get a feel for how it would look, but don't get your hopes up, the devs may never consider any of the stuff posted, but trying is worth a shot.

Heya Chikira, nice to see you haven't given up on the website redesign yet...

I think that overall the site design will come way down the list on things to do, but the devs ARE working on a new GUI for the game itself, which we will be able to "skin".

Oh, and since you asked for critiquing, you're wasting space at the top with your header. Put the Vendetta info from the top middle into the left side of the header and then you've got more room for the middle pane.

Maybe some kind of CMS freebie like mambo would allow them to have a different look without re-inventing the wheel. Module writing for it is easy enough so that customization would not be absent.

No Leber, I wont give up on the redesign until I see the website revamped even if they dont use my design, however most Vendetta players seem to love the one I already did, so it is avaliable to the devs until the need it, so basically they can ask for it whenever.

Am I alone in being perfectly satsified with the layout and appearance of the current webpage? The information on it, however could do with some revising...

Of course, Chikira, your page is gorgeous. I'm just curious if many players see the layout of VO's webpage as something that *needs* revamping?

I personally LIKE the uncluttered feel of the current pages.

I wouldnt mind seeing a few newer screenshots, but thats not really a big deal.

I liked the old design better. But this current one is still infinitely better than most (including that proposed one). Simple, clean. Not dependant on images (the only ones are the background images). Hey, I like the current one enough to have made it a theme for roguelazer.com (Settings->Themes->Vendetta)

Oh and the main reason why I keep pushing a revamp of the look is that most people usually get their frist impressions based on the website, and if the devs want Vendetta to become somthing like EVE or on a some what smaller scale... they need to look better in order to penetrate the marketplace and bring in customers

And people like eye candy.

I would like to see a better web site my self, but it's not high on the list of things I would like to see.

I really, really like the page you drew up. If someone was to put that together into something workable, then that would be doubly awesome. However, I'd rather see improvements to the game. The website redesign SHOULD come before VO starts being advertised, though...

What Im gonna do real quick is use the current layout of the site, but spice it up a little bit that way all that has to be changed is jpg's and some text files for now rather than some massive rework which I know the devs are not to keen on doing.
