Log Who fires at who
I know this has come up before but I want to repost it with an example of why this is needed.
Maso and anyone else, I'm not asking for your interpretation of what happened, I'm just suggesting.
Anyway, I was in B8, and Maso and I started...talking about that Smittens-attacks-VPR-Spike buisness, when all of a sudden rockets hit me, Maso flashes on my screen, his dot turns read. So of course I spin around and fight him, and kill him.
So I bring this up on 100 after all the **** that he and Duncan caused when I attacked VPR. After 10 minutes of stalling Maso finally says that I was the first to shoot in that fight.
And now its my word against his. In any case this would be an invaluable thing to have in logs for just such an occasion. In a situation like this it could turn into Smit-Believers against Maso-belivers, which could get incredibly ugly (albeit might make some nice RP), as opposed to having a log which just makes it "Oh, I guess ____ lied." and then moving on, the only lasting damage being others' trust of the lying individual and possibly a rivalry between the two involved

Idiotic and pointless? Whay does it matter who people think shot first? Eh?
PS: It's probably already logged. Everything is.
PPS: You both shot at the same time

Yeah, so, what's the problem? You got shot, and now you get stuck into the ego/whine wars that have plagued this community since Alpha. Oh, he shot first! Oh, you rocket rammed! Oh, you typekilled! Whine whine bitch bitch. Everyone always talks about how greyspace is a place of danger and no rules, then expect that to somehow not apply in various random situations.
I seriously can't see anything wrong with it being your word against someone else's. You won the fight. If it starts a guild war, it starts a guild war. It seems like you played into his hands, at least if his aim was to make you look bad. It's grey space. You don't take faction hits for killing people there. There's no accountability. Seems the real solution here is to get rid of 100 so people stop using it for these petty little child's games.
Oh right. Not enough people in the game to make that work. Wait? What's this? A correlation between an homicidal and egotistical community and a small community? Could it be?
No. No. Of course not. Because he shot first, and that's all that matters.

Okay, I guess they're right. Feel free to lock. However, devs if it is logged I would REALLY appreciate your word on who attacked first
I attacked first.
Well that's the problem with games like this. You can never tell who shot at who first, and if someone did fire shots before something else, was it for the purpose of provoking the other person to fight, or were they shooting to kill and just miss? Or were they tring to shoot to provoke and hit first?
Smit, can we keep this off the V-O forums?
Or, maybe, -Lady Serco forbid- he accidentally hit the button.
I know it happened to me, once.

BOOM! (I shot last)
