Docking Animation
First things first, woot! First post :D
Secondly, how about this:
When you warp, you get a nice cut scene with the ship flying into the jump gate, the entertaining tip screen, and then the cut scene of the ship coming out of warp.
Mask some more of the downtime with another cut scene when entering a space station - show the ship slowing down inside and parking or landing.
Just thought it would be a nicer visual than the "Please Wait" box. The more seamless the game appears (whether it's actually loading something or not) the better :)
