Fix for the Prometheus
Y'know, I was thinking. The Prometheus has that turret, right? What if any weapon seated in that turret's slot would track targets automatically? I don't mean like current "turrets", I mean like full out-of-the-view-range turreting. That would easily make up for the Iron Slug's maneuverability problems.
it does have 2 of those little things, i'd plop 2 gravitons right on it if i got the chance, mayhbe tachyon, or railguns.
I'd say, "Ditch the cargo and make it the MOAB"--Mother of all Bombers.
Say, four light ports, three heavies. Sure, it can't dodge, and sure, it can't turn, but it can put out a prodigious amount of flak, and keep any number of smaller ships twisting and dodging for days at a time. Also, it can take a ridiculous amount of beating. It's not going to help a solo player a great deal, but it will give this ship a specific role in multiple player battles.

Well, judging by the new Prometheus profile screenshot, they're planning on having that modularity option, Acierocolotl. It looks like you'd have to sacrifice weapon ports for the additional cargo space... and vice versa (if you'd opt for more weapons). I'm hoping every "special" ship will have some degree of modular flexability where you can actually convert it into a fighter, bomber, or trader.
