Frigate Gamble!
remeber the lottery bot the devs did? can we have the same thing with the frigate? (or just have the devs take the names of players and pick a name out of a hat)
but it'd be cool to have a random lucky guy get a free frigate :D

I think the lotto bot was written by a player
It was by a player, yes.
I'd like to see a blackjack bot or something in a bar, but no time to write it yet.

or a simple "spin" on chess, or poker :D
Hmmm, a slot machine bot wouldnt be too hard to pull off, I reckon even I could do this, hell, I just might try! (or I might get lazy and suggest it to someone I know who pwns at coding /me winks at Alamar)
Pay the bot 10c a spin, and get a randomly generated prize/loss, maybe even with a seed that could guarentee a certain % payout, and remember how much it has earned so it pays out loads when its winning too much.
Sweet idea, but errrm, money prize of course, I cant give out cap ships, and, errrrm, no.

yeah...I think if all the players work on minor coding like this (you make the coding, someone with 1337 photoshop skills makes animation for it, and the devs stick in into part of the station, we'd have lots more **** to play around with! so get moving! the devs make teh' frigates, we'll make the tilqua cups!
I could put gambling functionality into the VORuby codebase. But that's after I get out of the Net::IRC muck that I've entrenched myself in. Oops. I've said too much.
Yeah, I'd be willing to move UID down to Corvus Space if rogue could implement some gambling games into it. I'll write a few in Java to practice my growing java-skillz (and to provide a few basic ideas for rogue) :)
Do you want me to put that before Net::IRC? Probably a good idea, since fully implementing Net::IRC (which I would need to write, with error handling and everything else), then getting it to work ing an already multithreaded program (adding another thread for the new output, creating a new set of VO interface functions) will take a lot longer than adding gambling.
sure, go ahead.
rogue, since this is kinda the wrong form, how 'bout you make a new one in the right form, kay?
