The UIT is composed of numerous sub-factions each with an interesting history and description, however the Itani and the Serco are homogenous. When the faction system redux comes around what about adding some Itani and Serco sub-factions that players can work their way into? For example:

Serco

*The Triumverate (Serco High Command)

*Hall of Warriors (Serco games and personal honor)

*Skycommand (research and military)

Itani
-----

*Itani Defensive Corps (military wing of Eo)

*Order of Eo (pacifistic society focused on personal development, biggest achievement is discovery of the "energy focus")

*Order of Akan (<- hidden at first, unlocked through a special mission tree)

There are many dimensions to the Serco and the Itani that could be added to the game through further sub-factions.

Phaserlight: there are only three people in the Triumvirate. Three. Tri. Umvirate. Three people. Tres.

and i'm positive that those three people have staffs, personal gaurds, possibly a section of military that responds directly to them... of course if a certain SOMEONE would finish a certain backstory....

Yeah! I really like the sub-factions thing. Itani needs another one tho. Something between the Hitleresque Akan and the Peacenik Eo.

By all means, if anyone finds anything in the backstory that would make a good Itani or Serco sub-faction, post it!

for itani, how about an "Order of" for each of the Abbots, their close followers, etc.

these factions propbably shouldn't be anything players can "join" i mean a UUT can't change their race entry to "corvus" but they can become well liked by corvus. in the samme way having high standing with the Triumvirate does not mean being a member or staff member of the Triumvirate it just means that by whatever means theTriumvirate has come to respect you as somone who fcan get the job done and posably even owes you a favor or two. t6he same should be true of the other factions as well. then we have guilds to represent actual joinable factions.

i do agree with the idea as a whole. Down with the hypercube!!
