I want to be able to paint my Valk Pantone® 293 Blue.

The Order of Akan in the backstory paint their ships black. Why you would want to do anything like them, I don't know, but /me guesses that as the devs implement more aspects from the backstory into the game, it may be possible for Itani to join the Order of Akan and get black ships.

I don't think Bojan wants to be in the Order of Akan. I think he just thinks black is "pretty"

Yep and black paint makes you kinda invisible in dark background too.:P
