Stop locking threads please
By constantly locking threads that are not even close to being disrespectful or flaming you give us the impression that because you don't want the listen anymore we should stop talking. I understand you locking a tread that has clearly gotten out of hand or one that is getting close, but to stop discussion on a subject just because you don't want to hear it anymore is rude and it does nothing to satisfy the problem we were discussing.
Maybe there would be fewer threads about the same subject if we could just calmly discuss an issue to its conclusion.
See Incarnates last post here to see what I’m talking about:

On a related subject mcduff started an msn group here so we (all players) can speak without having our posts locked, modified or deleted. Please join it and let’s really talk.

now heres a thread that needs to be locked.
Incarnate closed the thread in question because that particular discussion really HAD just about run its course, and had come around to finally bringing to light an actual problem.
the important parts of the thread is being continued here:
http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/11201
in a far more constructive set of posts that deal with the real problem, which was fairly well hidden in the thread incarnate locked.
and to a lesser extent, here:
http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/11200
EDIT: on a related note, I dont particularly like your tone lately JB. you are basically attacking a set of devs that is VERY responsive to the playerbase. If you want to see a game where the devs left the community stranded high and dry, visit http://www.dreamcatchergames.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=39 and spend about 5 minutes reading and looking over the site.
you dont have a clue how good we really have it.

I think if people can kindly move on to CONSTRUCTIVE posts, locking won't be an issue. We've heard from Incarnate, we've heard plenty from Arolte, and we've heard a great deal from a handful of other prolific posters. Okay, there's an issue to discuss, so now let's stop emoting and discuss how to go about fixing it.
It would help if people would post suggestions in the pre-existing Suggestions threads.

Er, okay I was gonna leave this one open just to avoid the irony of locking the "stop locking threads" thread, but I see this one is going to go awry as well.
I thought the thread had reached its conclusion. It isn't my intention to be disrespectful of your opinions, it is my intention to Move On and actually deal with the situation rather than rehashing who-shouldave-done-what for another day. The longer things get drawn out, the less time is spent actually fixing things. As spellcast said, things were handing off to Andreas's Suggestions thread. I would always prefer to be constructive, rather than not. As you say, I would prefer to satisfy the problem we were discussing, rather then talk about the circumstances or attitudes leading up to it ;).

I'm not entierly sure of the details of this situation, but i finde that often times the "existing thread" is old and many of the arguments no longer make sence (due to more recent developments). I mean you wouldn't want to post a recent assesment of the Prom/Valk balance issue in a thread left over from before the massive ship rebalance because people will have to sift through old outdated discussions to get to the new more relavent comments.
and FM, i think you should lock it, i love irony.
