In my experience, any of the light ships (Cents, Vults, Valk, etc.) can evade swarms & still continue to attack. It's a little tricky, but it can be done (and is a blast, IMO). Even in the heavier ships, it's possible, although much more difficult.
Re: Incarnate
Awesome. When you do make missles targettable, I hope you also add a "RadarNextFrontWeapon" command that targets rockets, missiles, mines, and turrets. And while you're in the radar code, I'd also like to see the radar commands discussed here: http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/10538

I've never tried shooting down missiles, is it even possible? If so then a flechett cannon would be the idillic weapon for that as it's basically a gatling shotgun that uses energy rather than projectiles. Speaking of wich why not add another weapon while at it some kind of autocannon like a rail but that does less damadge per shot (~300?) but still traveling 400m/s or whatever it is the rail does guess you could even say its powder actuated so it dosent drain your battery good for strafing with an infini-booster. Obviousley a weapon like this would have to have a limited amount of ammo.
Currently, I'm pretty sure it's not possible to shoot down missiles, but it sounds like it's on the coming soontm list.
The flechette cannon *should* be ideal for shooting down missiles, but despite its graphic, it's not really a spread effect, most of those graphics sparks don't do any damage. The suggestion I've seen that would probably work for simulating a spread effect, is to give the flechette cannon a 1 or 2 meter prox trigger.

You may add it is extremely easy in a Prom with an AGT.

Heh, none of my characters (currently) have access to Proms, so I couldn't say that based on my own experience.
It's easy to avoid swarms, but that's partially because it's also easy to get them, so it's bad to make them very dangerous. It would be trivial for me to modify their maneuverability and top speed, and make them devestating for anyone to avoid. But.. that's not really the point, if I did that, we would all the more need some sort of countermeasure. Anyway, in my previous post I mostly meant to explain what my original intention was, and I think it would be a good idea for me to take swarms back in that direction.
When I BP, I always try to keep a tube of swarms handy. It never fails that after I've been a battling a slew of bots, down on health, dancing with two more bots... here comes some newb sliding up behind me thinking I'm an easy kill. Sorry Charley. This tube of swarms is for you.
