E-Mail Invites
You know how G-Mail has e-mail invitations to join g-mail? It's the greatest grassroots, virtually free marketing campaign ever.
Under "Your Account" on the VO website, there should be an "Invite a Friend" link. It takes you to one of those e-mail-a-friend lists where you can e-mail a bunch of friends at one time with a link to downloading Vendetta, and a little personalizable message (including a final line- "download now and get 8 hours free!"). Then, when a friend downloaded the game and created an account, it would e-mail the original sender saying "Your friend SOANDSO has created a Vendetta Online Account."
A good way to expand the community to friends of the community, not a bunch of n00bs who don't know anyone ingame.

Why not make it simple and go over to your friends' homes and help them set one up while you're there? Then you can mentor them in person!
Both good ideas, I like Celkan better as the price for me being a mentor is you buying the beer :P
I like the idea. I mean average most ppl have over 20 email adderesses. This would make it easy for us lethargic types to just invite them all.
I mean we need new blood in this game. Active players list is going steadily down hill. :\

anything to get more players.
both are good ideas, but I think Celkan's idea is already being done, so something else would be good to have to.
Well it depends. I personally am waiting for a little more content before I will actually recommned VO for my friends. Many of them are already playing Eve so I'd rather have them try out a somewhat more finished product.
I personally would not like to receive email "invites" to games. If my friends won't talk about a game over a stout then it's not worth playing anyway.
