Points for shooting mines
We should get points for shooting enemy mines.
(And on the topic of mines, "friendlies" shouldn't be able to destroy mines, either by targetting or ramming.)

May I also add another suggestion? Perhaps make lightning mines NOT SO STRONG. It takes like three or four frickin' blue lasers to blow one up. It should only take one like proximity mines. They're hard enough to dodge as it is.

Anyone should be able to destroy any weapon.
Arolte, just use a heatseeker...I do (I don't like to get close to lightning mines, nor do I like to stop to aim from distance).

Point is, those tiny lightning mines shouldn't have to take more than one or two hits to disable 'em via ions/lasers. It's not good for the balance of gameplay. I personally don't like to use seekers either. It's a waste of money. Nobody should be forced to use one type of weapon just for taking out lightning mines. Taking the time to learn how to shoot mines with lasers or ions should be rewarded, not penalized.
Ok here is an idea, since there using energy, they should absorb the shots and increase there range by 1m each time there shot. (oh oh i already see a new exploit, someone just sits back and shoots them for a long time)
Wait- you want shooting a mine to make it MORE powerful? That's really ridiculous. How do you kill the things in that case? Nope, warheads and mines should both be targetable and energy-weapon destructable. And rockets should trigger proxy mines.
This could very well be the first time where people should actually listen to roguelazer's posts.
