Was that "Harry Seldon" or "The Mule"?
I quote: "...if you did 50% or more damage, you would get the PK once they died.
You would NOT get a PK for doing 50% or more."
Thanks for clarifying that.

Rattmann: in case you did not notice, it is a game. A GAME. Where dehydration is very unlikely to be the cause of /exploding.
Border Patrol is a mission where the goal is to destroy enemy ships. We can all explode in C10 when low on health to frustrate opponents of a kill and we will all look dumb. And this has nothing to do with kamikaze tactics or any of the fine examples of human madness that you call "real-world examples of /explode".
If somebody /explodes IN A DUEL, he loses it. Does anybody complain about that? So why not counting /explosions in Deneb C10 as kills for BP?

I agree with the general idea of making /explode a bit more complicated. Perhaps with the "two people must insert electronic keys, enter PIN, and wait for X second countdown." /Explode should not be as simple as quick way of cheating death for bragging rights ("No, you didn't kill me, I killed myself"). It's only an antagonistic way of ticking people off. The command has outlived its usefulness and should be removed or modified.
Dr. Lecter: "You'll never take me alive! Bwauhahahahah!"
Me: "No, I'm going to kill you."
See? There's no real reason for the command--pilots can't be captured, only killed. And then you get someone who will /explode when his health gets low or runs out of missiles after spamming you.
