CtC idea
what if one week only serco convoys left? There would be less of an area for ctc to be spread over so there would be more action. The next week there would be only itani convoys.
And then the winner would get N3's for TWO weeks? Okay, I like the idea so far...
It helps out because I think the number of people actively involved in CtC has dropped off significantly.

Sorry to say so, LeberMac, but you can't tell when you don't participate.
Matter of fact, CtC is currently harder than it used to be and I see quite a lot of action during my online time (end of GMT day). There is a fair number of new guys involved in CtC who know what they're doing, in addition to the usual suspects. With the new hive bots and the new flares, it is not so rare to see the cargo change hands two or three times.
Bractus is two jumps away from Sedina. Many guys would go down from Edras or Jallik (feel free to replace by Pyronis or Initros) to fight in B8. If they don't move back to Jallik, it is not because it's far, it's because they don't feel like playing CtC.

/me takes the whipping from Sun Tzu like a man...
Well, that is correct, Sun. I do not participate in CtC to the level of you or Jestatis or some of the other fine IDF folks.
But usually when I do participate, it's just 'lil 'ol me escorting the convoy from Bractus to Divinia. I can count on one hand the number of times I've had to engage a hostile target while defending the convoy. I just must be doing it at the wrong times.
Now on the Serco side, attacking the convoy is more fun, but I usually get sidetracked in B-8 when there's more fun in fighting an actual player than pounding away at a bot.
So yeah, I admit to being a fair-weather CtC'er. But from what I have heard and with my limited experience on the topic, CtC does not have the participation that it used to. Thus I support epadafunk's idea.

The biggest thing that changed in CtC is that less cargo is getting delivered. The bots shoot the transports in storms now. And they usually kill it. So every transport has to be escorted. And its hard to get the cargo if the bots in the storm are good. (I made 3 attempts yesterday to get cargo in a storm and was killed by bots)
Ctc is hard enough as it is now. Its just boring. No one wants to do it every day all the time.
For epadafunk idea to work there would have to be a higher interest in ctc. Each and every transport would have to be monitored in case of attack. And the team that has the transport that week would usually win, because they would get there transport through most of the time. Especially if their were no attackers and the transport didn't enter a storm. This if a 24hour game, but fighting usually only happens during peak hours.
I really don't see how this idea can work currently. We don't have the people or the interest.

if whoever wins gets the n3 AND the transport, even if they had it the week before, there might be more incentive.
Ok epadafunk i don't mean to disagree with you but you should be asking how many people even use nuet mk3. You only really see strong activity when one side hasn't had them for a month or 2. Since most people stockpike them who use them.
What needs to be done to get more people doing CtC is to get a better prize each week. Nuet MK III's arent enough for hours of ctc unless u acually use them and ran out.
Just my oponion.

I'm going to have to say I'm opposed to this suggestion, for a couple of reasons.
First, it just doesn't make any sense. The Itani & Serco are nations engaged in war, CtC is a supply chain for materials used to manufacture weapons for the war. Why would a nation decide to stop making orders for the necessary materials every other week? And if only the winner gets convoys, it's even worse, why would a nation that didn't recieve enough material to be useful not make any orders at all?
My second reason for not liking this suggestion is because it forces players to either not participate in CtC, or else roleplay a role that perhaps they don't want to - for example, Beolach only defends Itani convoys, has never & will never attack Serco convoys. If this suggestion was implemented, he would either have to change the defender role he plays, or else drop out of CtC every other week. As CtC is still the only real roleplaying structure for combat in the game (we will have more soontm, of course), it would effectively turn Beolach into a non-combatant for a week.
