Oh yeah, and about the population
How many players do we have right now? Just curious. And how many paying players? Actually that's what I meant the first time, but who cares. I just reminded myself about it after writing my thread on the server load.
60-100 at max, min of like 20-30, don't know total with alts and such.
nah its more than that, those are just the numbers on at any given time.
my guess is that we have about 400 paying players. But to be honest, I don't know.

yah, I was just saying on at a time, not total paying customers. =)
Yeah, I'm talking about paying costumers. It's got to be a bit more than 400, or on average, people spend like a 5th or more of their time playing this game!!!
Just for the reference, real life finds its devious ways to interfere, and I usually only get to play 30-45 minutes a day.

A game designer I know once mentioned that the average amount of players on-line is usually appr. 10% of the subscriber pool. So I'd guess around 500-600? I for one don't spend nearly 1/10th of my time in VO.
The one thing that keeps me from spending more time online is (ironically) the lack of players. If we were averaging 500-600 ppl online I would be on every night.
I agree with the above post
There is no direct relation between the number of players online and the fun you can have in game.
For example, I spent the whole (GMT) afternoon online yesterday, at a time when there are few players. Among those few, we were 4 to 7 "Capturing the Cargo" and we had a great time.
The duration of the online time is a more important factor imo. I mean, when you can spend a couple of hours with the same team mates against the same opponents, this game really takes another dimension.
